CAPTURING THE MAGIC OF
THE HOLIDAYS IN NEW YORK CITY
For nearly 150 years, New York City retailers have created incredible window displays to the delight of local shoppers. Bring the iconic and beloved tradition to the masses, with all the wonder of the in-person experience.
Create the enchanting experience of walking along a New York City sidewalk and getting lost in the magically detailed window displays.
We brought together an unprecedented number of retailers–17 in total–to share their window displays with viewers through the web and virtual reality. The experience launched to wide acclaim from the online community and press, ranging from business and tech outlets Fast Company, Engadget and Mashable, to fashion and tourism outlets Condé Nast and Travel+Leisure.
A Scroll Through the Streets
Our site takes users on a walk through New York at the holidays, admiring some of the city's most iconic store windows. With each step along the sidewalk, design elements in some windows animate and appear to come to life. Viewers can stroll by each retailer’s display and even "press their face to the glass" to explore every amazing detail in high resolution.
Experiencing the Sights & Sounds
Through an immersive 360° experience, we transported viewers to New York City through their browser or VR headset. Optional audio commentary from each retailer sheds light on the painstaking work that goes into each display.
All of the Windows, None of the Crowds
We featured 17 of the world's most iconic retailers located along New York's most storied shopping streets. From the cotton candy dreams at Saks Fifth Avenue to the enchanted forests at Lord & Taylor, viewers everywhere can now experience this incredible holiday tradition.
